FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS

It’s a very excellent tribute to WWII heroes. My grandfathers from both my father’s side and my mother’s side fought the Japanese back in WWII. They would’ve loved this movie.. but to me at times, this movie seemed overdrawn, just a little bit too slow.

I still think ‘Saving Private Ryan’ hit more home-runs than Clint’s latest film.

But the interesting part is that there is an actor in that movie, real name Barry Pepper, who has been in three war movies, Saving Private Ryan, We Were Soldiers, and now Flags of our Fathers. I wonder if he ever get bored of doing the same movie genre.

But then again, an opportunity for an actor to work with Steven Spielberg, Mel Gibson, and Clint Eastwood is quite rare. After all, when it comes to acting, you’re only as good as the people you work with.
