THE DEPARTED Review

I’ve seen the original Hong Kong film version called ‘Infernal Affairs’… The Departed has very similar story and similar characters.. But here’s the thing..
Martin Scorsese is Back!!! I hated Gangs of New York, and I despised The Aviator,.. but now Martin is Back and better than ever!!!
The Departed is a film with better violence, better dialogue, and better acting,… ‘Infernal Affairs’ should’ve been made like this one.

Billy Costigan (Leo DiCaprio) is an Massachusetts’s choice to be an undercover inside the Irish Mafia, while the Mobster leader Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) has a mole, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) inside the police department. Both people are consumed by the new worlds they live in, Billy can’t stand the murder and the lies he’d have to go through everyday and Colin is enjoying his well-respected reputation as a cop. But when both worlds discover that they’ve been infiltrated by moles, both Billy and Collin in the race against time to reveal catch and reveal the rat.

The Departed is a gangster movie, it’s like a fast-paced Goodfellas…
Congrats, Mr. Scorsese! you might just earned yourself another nominations… but I doubt you’ll win that easy.
