SPIDER-MAN 3 Review

This film is.. soft..
soft is the word I was looking for to describe the third sequel of Spider-Man franchise

For a summer blockbuster.. it’s kinda slow.

I actually like the train action sequence from Spider-Man 2 way better than all the action sequences from Spider-Man 3 combined.

Don’t get me wrong.. the visual effects are stunning and all, but do we really need the cheesy love storyline that best fit daytime soap opera?

and when Tobey’s conceited, that whole scene seems a bit overplayed.
and for some reason.. Tobey makes a funny lookin’ face when he cries.. look, I’m sure he’s a talented actor and I don’t doubt that at all.. but when he cries, he just looks funny…
I’ve always thought that Venom was one of comic book’s coolest villains of all time,
but this movie’s Venom falls short… Topher Grace just doesn’t look the part.. and Venom just isn’t menacing enough.

plus, Venom only gets the last half hour of the movie. What the hell is that?!

I hope there won’t be Spider-Man 4, cause if there’s gonna be one,.. then they would have to go the extra mile just to redeem themselves.

In a nutshell, Spiderman 3 is a web of confusion that binds up in the end, but lacks depth and character that makes a solid super hero film.

There is a lot of cheese in this movie, from the (Spoiler alert) the crane hitting the building (come on, that just looked fake), Tobey crying, Peter all of a sudden becoming emo, and Topher having a short lived scene. It makes you wonder if you are watching a summer blockbuster hit, or a B-Movie. To add to this web of silliness, there are a lot of elements in the movie that go unexplained. For example, where did the meteor come from? (That element alone would’ve made the movie solid in terms of a storyline)What was really going on when Sandman became sandman, what were they really trying to create? When you have 3 villains (which need more explanation)I can see why it seemed so rushed, compared to the other 2 spider-man movies the villains have an origin which brings depth to the characters.

In conclusion, this movie is not as good as I expected, but it does have it’s moments of spidey action which could make fans of the movies or comic book, feel like the movie did justice to the webhead, but unfortunately this alone cannot save the movie, from the negatives already mentioned.

The meteor thing made me mad too, I was like so where the flip did that come from..haha, but yah, it was a pretty good movie, yah venom only got like the last bit of the movie, but yah, graphics wise, it was killer, but I think they purposely overdid the emo wanna be arrogant parker to make it funny, but yah, I liekd the movie I give it a 4-5
