FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER Review

Finally, the first of this year’s summer blockbuster that offers non-stop action, speed, catastrophy and visual effects that although may look cartoonist, we can say at the end of the film, “That was tight!”

This is so much better than the first movie,.. I hated the first installment of Fantastic Four because it didn’t live up to the expectations advertised by the studio.

Silver Surfer rides his way into earth and everything seems to be falling apart. Mr. Fantastic figures out that Surfer’s existence has caused destructions in other planets and so the team must find a way to save earth and get rid of Silver Surfer. Meanwhile, Mr. Doom returns and has an agenda of his own.

‘Fantastic 4: Silver Surfer’ does come off as something more for children and adolescents to enjoy, nevertheless it has enough Jessica Alba to keep male movie audiences seated.
I think it’s not going to do well at the box office, though I’m not sure how successful it will be on DVD. Critics are calling it ‘Fantastic Bore’.
Sure, it’s not as extravagant as other summer blockbuster films, but I think overall, the film’s not bad at all, it’s pretty damn exciting actually.

IT’S CLOBBERING TIME!!

This year is supposedly the year of the superhero/cartoon/comic book movies. And I have to say, that i has been disappointing so far…

I figured that Fantastic Four 2 was not going to be stellar, and Marvel Films this year, were just horrid. Not to mention, part one lacked content and depth to create a great superhero film. So was this film good?

Yes! Succeeds the first by far, and makes superhero movie fun to watch again. The formula is good (suspense, thrills, action and twists in the plot), and I agree with Rama. In the end it makes you say, “That was tight…”

There is some… (uh oh) some bad points, but don’t worry, it isn’t Peter Parker walking down New York in a black suit… Also, the plot is reminiscent of X-Men 2, but then again, I liked hat movie!

With disappointment after disappointment in superhero films, it is refreshing to see that one film stands out from the others. And Fantastic Four : Rise of the Silver Surfer, is Fantastic!
