I NOW PRONOUNCE YOU CHUCK AND LARRY Review

“Going in alive. Coming out the same way”
Once again, Adam Sandler brings all of his friend to be in his movie.
Two New York Firefighters with two different lives. One is a ladies man, or should I say successful playa, and the other is a family man….
Both are straight as in heterosexual as in into women as in not playing for the other team, you catch the drift.
Kevin James who plays Larry the family man fears for his kids well-being and is in need of an insurance beneficiary to protect his children should he die in the line of duty because his wife died long time ago. Adam Sandler who plays the guy who chases hot girls (And I’m talking drop dead gorgeous hot girls) is bound by responsibility to help his friend Larry because he owes Larry his life. So they cooked up gay marriage and all that partnership stuff but the city sends an investigator to see if they’re lying, meanwhile they too hire the beautiful lawyer Jessica Biel (who has a great body by the way) to represent them.
man, that was too thick a paragraph for a plot, well let’s get down to business, shall we.
I think this movie is pretty hilarious and by that I mean the jokes and punchlines and the comedic situations and scenes hit the target. Especially Rob Schneider who plays the Asian dude.
But what I admire this movie is that it is a not-heavy and yet heartfelt comedy that aim to bring a certain awareness of how we need to treat each other as human beings, as people, no matter what lifestyle, religion, color, race, or background we have.
In this case the themes are gay lifestyle, friendship, loyalty, family, and honesty.
But I gotta warn you, if you don’t like the movie ‘Blades of Glory’ because it has too much jokes that are implied toward homosexuality and gay lifestyle, then you probably won’t like ‘I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry’.
Speaking as a straight person, I think the movie ‘Chuck and Larry’ has to be seen by those who are still homo-phobic or just plain ignorant.

Aye. This movie was dreadful. All the air headed oiled up women in bikinis make me shake my head and sigh. It is a pure guy movie. Most of the time the jokes were just too crude to be funny.
