Two generations of ‘Alfie’ will collide in the battle of wits in the upcoming movie SLEUTH, which will open limited October 12th. It’s about an aging writer toying with the mind of an actor who has stolen his wife’s affection in a deadly game with potentially deadly results. This movie is actually… a remake of the movie with the same title and storyline starring Michael Caine. The casting of Jude Law will bring together two talented British actors from two different generations who have done the same role in the same movie title ‘Alfie.

Back in 2000, Michael Caine took home Best Supporting Role Oscar for the movie ‘The Cider House Rules’. He defeated Jude Law in the same category in which Jude was nominated for the movie ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’.

The original SLEUTH movie looks very old and boring, from watching the trailer below… we could tell that this new version is gonna rock hard core. It’s cool to see old man Michael Caine plays the bad guy.
