SKINWALKERS Review

This is a horror movie about werewolves and their legend. Well, not quite, because every horror filmmaker has a different take on werewolves or lychens, whatever you wanna call it. It’s not a bad horror movie but it’s not a frightning one either. So that’s why if you put the cursor on the movie poster below, you can understand why I gave this film a rating of… 3 out of 5.
Jason Behr, who was known for his role in TV’s ‘Roswell’ leads a gang of werewolf bikers. The only girl member of the gang puts the hot in ‘hotness’. Where was I, ah yes.. So they’re out on the road looking for this 13 year old boy who’s supposed to have miraculous power to end the curse. Now these bikers love being werewolves, but the people who protect the child are sick and tired of being monsters every night. So the hunt is on and there’s some action sequences, and a few scary scenes.
I think they did a lousy job with the werewolf costumes cause they look fake, I like the CGI one better as shown in the movie ‘Van Helsing’ and ‘Underworld’. The transformation from human to Werewolf in ‘Skinwalkers’ remind us too much of Michael J Fox’s ‘Teen Wolf’ which was a pretty cool movie by the way.
But with this day and age, ‘Skinwalkers’ should’ve pushed more distance and show some efforts into it.
The other reason why I don’t find this movie sucks too bad is the successfulness of the 13 year old boy who manages to be so irritating and annoying. You know one of those scenes in horror movies where you know the bad guy’s gonna get the victim, but the victim’s just standing there frozen either in awe or stupidity. You’re wondering ‘Why is that stupid kid just staring at the big bad wolf and just standing there, run you idiot run!’ But the kid just won’t run.
