Rama’s SCREEN

This is heist movie. The title in English means “A thief who steals from a thief will receive 100 years forgiveness”. It’s a latin proverb that justifies the storyline of what I think to be the Hispanic version of… ‘Ocean’s Eleven’, but not as grand!

Two best friends reunite to steal from his old colleague who turned bad by making millions of dollars off of selling false products to hispanic community. So they put together a team full of amateurs and immigrants, each has his/her own skills that would be beneficial to the heist.

It’s not as smart as typical heist movies we’ve seen Hollywood made before, but ‘Ladron’ does have enough sense of humor to make you chuckle every now and then. It feels too much like Ocean’s Thirteen, though…both stories are driven by revenge because of what the bad guys did to one of their own, the guy with the pony tail in ‘Ladron’ is like the George Clooney of the gang and actor Fernando Colunga is supposed to be the Brad Pitt.
The movie ‘Ladron’ does have some beautiful women especially the feisty character with dark hair. Latina women are amazing!

In conclusion, the movie’s not bad at all, it’s a fun and nice effort and if you like heist movie you’ll enjoy this movie but I doubt you’ll be too impressed by it.
