TRADE Review

I understand that it’s a difficult task to film the issue of human trafficking, but usually when it comes to viral matters in life like this one, the filmmaker needs to address the message and present it in a way that will move the audience or at least make them think ‘There’s something wrong here, this ain’t right! And we gotta do something.”
To a certain level, this film manages to do just that but as far as the art of filmmaking goes, Read more
THE GAME PLAN Review

THE GAME PLAN, bottomline, is a family movie. If you don’t have a family of your own, if you don’t have a son or daughter to watch this movie with you, then you’d probably feel awkward about the whole thing. It’s good to see action movie star trying to be well-rounded by taking on comedy films, but if what you’d get from The Game Plan is the similar thing you got from… Read more
ASTROBOY The Movie!
According to firstshowing, Imagi Animation Studios, the force behind the CGI movie TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles earlier this year, will make the feature film version of the Japanese cult cartoon series: Astroboy! It aims for release sometime in 2009. Warner Bros. and Weinstein Company have agreed to distribute the film. It’s going to be directed by some dude by the name Colin Brady, no relation to Wayne Brady
, but Colin has experiences working with CGI stuff and visual effects (Hulk, E.T., Lemony Snicket).
Growing up in Asia, I remember watching it on TV as a kid, they showed Japanimation cartoon re-runs like crazy. A scientist created Astroboy to replace his young son that died. Astroboy struggles to find acceptance in human world and uses his powers to save Metro City from alien destruction. Kids back then would read the comic books too, but I was more of a fan of Doraemon, they should make that into a movie!

INDIANA JONES 4 Plot & TRANSFORMER 2

Some dude who was an extra in the upcoming INDIANA JONES 4 movie, named Tyler Nelson leaked the safely guarded plot details. Monster and critics said that Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has Dr. Jones taken hostage by the Soviet Army while… searching for the crystal skull in the jungles of South America.
Cate Blanchett plays the torturer that interrogated Indiana Jones as he was strapped to a chair. She threatened to kill Jones’ ex-girlfriend, played by Karen Allen, and their son, played by Shia LaBeouf.
According to the info, Steven Spielberg is not happy with Nelson for breaching the nondisclosure agreement and Steven has cut Nelson’s scene.
The film spokesperson said that Nelson might not be able to work in this town (Hollywood) ever again and a representative at Thomas Talent Agency said that Nelson’s in trouble.
Nelson must be an idiot, pulling a stunt like that. Any normal person would be glad and feel privileged to be given the opportunity to be in a movie with Harrison Ford, even if it means just being an extra. You’d have to be an idiot to screw that up. But at the same time, idiots like Nelson that give us movie freaks a reason to rejoice a bit.
Are they going to change the storyline because of this incident?
Indiana Jones 4 has given away too much of itself every single month, I don’t know why all of a sudden the people behind the production are angry about this one leak?!
If you ask me, I think this whole thing is just another one of their ways to keep Indiana Jones talked about.

Shia LaBeouf
Shia LaBeouf who’s going to play Dr. Indiana Jones’ son and also revealed the full official title of Indiana Jones 4 back in MTV VMA Awards– he’s not getting fired or anything — in fact, he’s going to reprise his role in the sequel movie, drumroll please… TRANSFORMERS 2, which will also be directed by Michael Bay. It is scheduled for release June 26, 2009 but the when part is still subject to change.
Rejoice, mankind!
Clips from THE HEARTBREAK KID
The Farrelly brothers’ movies always crack me up, every one of them from There’s Something about Mary, Me Myself & Irene, Shallow Hal, even Stuck On You. So when Ben Stiller’s collaborated with the Farrelly brothers again in the upcoming movie THE HEARTBREAK KID, I just had to find out if I could watch some of the spoiler clips before the movie comes out in theaters October 5th. And here are some the clips found online from the movie THE HEARTBREAK KID, which is about a newlywed man who decides to get married too soon without finding out that his wife’s actually crazy and during honeymoon, he finds love in another woman. O by the way.. Ben Stiller’s going to return in Night At the Museum 2.
THE KINGDOM Review

This movie won’t come out in theaters until September 28th. But Rama’s SCREEN went to the screening and here is the early review of THE KINGDOM. I think it’s fair to say that this movie closes summer blockbuster season and opens for the Oscar-worthy movies season. And it’s great way to start it. When a movie has all star cast in it, that could mean either two things:… Read more
Get on the Road trip movies
I’m traveling a lot these days because of what I do for a living as a Recruiter for La Sierra University. Despite the obligation, I do love road trips. I live in the sunny
If you notice carefully, movies usually have seasons: Summer Blockbuster, Oscar contenders in the fall and the not so good ones are thrown in winter and spring. Recently, we’ve been flooded with… Read more
More photos from the set of SEX AND THE CITY The Movie

Thanks to LatinoReview, here we can see more and more photos from the set of the big screen version of one of the most popular TV show in late 90s. SEX AND THE CITY The Movie will still center around those four friends, and they’ve been filming in… the big apple, the city that never sleeps, the one and only, New York City. These pictures show a lot of Sarah Jessica Parker, Chris North, and the big lady with big vocal skills: Jennifer Hudson.

TERMINATOR 4 Movie!

And so they’re planning to make the fourth Terminator movie, can you believe that?! According to IGN, this next one will be written by the same folks that wrote T3: Rise of the Machines. The characters John Connor and Kate Brewster are in the script but… it has yet to be confirmed whether Nick Stahl and Claire Danes would want to reprise their roles. A director has not been signed to take on the task.
The title is not going to be Terminator 4, just like Rise of the Machines, it’s going to be called something like TERMINATOR: yadi, yada, yada.
The story will be post-apocalyptic future following the events after the third movie, and apparetnly a new male lead has been cast to be the hero. I wonder who’s worthy enough to be as iconic as Arnold? Maybe Arnold will make some kind of cameo appearance, who knows?! They’re aiming for a 2009 release.

By the way, FOX will have a new TV series called TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles
They just have to squeeze it some more, don’t they?! I don’t think there’s any juice left in this franchise that started with The future Governor of California as the bad guy in the first movie. The second one, Judgement Day, is one of the most memorable sci-fi action movies of all time, while the third installment, in my opinion, was hot only because the bad girl was hot.
Hollywood’s about remakes and sequels these days. So as much as I want originality, despite their flaws, Terminator movies were entertaining, so I say: bring on the machines, T4!
The only upcoming sequel I’m not really anticipating is The Punisher 2: War Zone. Recently they’ve cast Dominic West (TV’s Entourage) as the villain Jigsaw, while Ray Stevenson (TV’s Rome) plays Frank Castle a.k.a The Punisher. If only they’d put in Nick Fury into the mix, then it’d probably be more interesting to check out.
On another better sequel note– I’m biased because I was a big fan of the TV series when I was growing up– THE X-FILES 2 will start filming in December, said David Duchovny who did not give out the script storyline to movieweb.
Dude, when I was a teenager, I used to think that Gillian Anderson (Scully) was the sexiest redhead female in the whole world, I still think she is

Clips and New Movie Poster NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN

Javier Bardem looks creepy in this upcoming Coen Brothers’ thriller NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN. He’s walking around murdering people with what it seems to be some sort of an oxygen tank or somethin’, that thing is one deadly weapon, though. The great Tommy Lee Jones is going to co-star. Here we have two clips from the movie and… the new poster of this killer that hits theaters November 21st.

Set Photos
Well, well, well, what do we have here, some photos from film set of Keira Knightley’s new movie THE DUCHESS. I wonder why Keira Knightley always finds herself choosing projects like this one (Pride and Prejudice, Silk) that demands her to go back to centuries ago when women wore corset, held umbrellas during sunny days while reading books that were probably Jane Austen’s novels.

And this next one is a picture from the set of Dane Cook’s new comedy film BATCHELOR No. 2, which also has Kate Hudson as the co-star. Dane Cook plays a guy hired by men who’ve been dumped to take their ex-girlfriends out on nightmare dates so the girls would have second thoughts and they’ll go back to their boyfriends. I think Dane Cook should stick with stand up comic than to be doing comedy movies. Who else agrees with me?!

Updates on JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA The Movie

Apparently the movie JLA going to be live action but they are still positive that the movie will be mostly digitally animated using motion capture technology so casting an actor with a perfect physical match isn’t that important. And George Miller (Happy Feet) has been… confirmed to be the one directing the big budget project.

Victoria Hill
George is from the land Down Under, so there was talk that he would cast an Aussie beauty named Victoria Hill as Wonder Woman, she does look like she could make the perfect superhero with an invisible flying jet plane, but recently the 7th heaven wonder Jessica Biel is reportedly in talks to play Wonder Woman.
I hope she gets the role because we all know she’s already got the bod for it. This is better headline than when we heard about Katie Holmes wanting to be in a WONDER WOMAN Movie that’s not part of JLA.

Here are some possible spoilers about the movie, I usually don’t believe in spoilers until they’re confirmed but it’s fun to know what could be:
1. AQUAMAN, which seems to be the superhero everyone looks down on, isn’t going to be in the movie.
2. Wonder Woman is described as someone like Angeline Jolie who’s beautiful and humanitarian.
3. Batman has this gadget called Redeye, which can do all sorts of cool stuff but the villain gets a hold of it and it becomes the center of the whole problem for the movie.
4. The Flash has a crush on Wonder Woman, what is this…. junior high?!
5. They’re adapting story elements straight from the comic book series.

CommentsMr. WOODCOCK Review

Billy Bob Thornton is famous for being a ladies man, either that or a ladykiller. He’s been married 5 times, including one to earth’s pride and joy Angelina Jolie and no matter how wrinkly he’ll become, oddly women still find him irresistible. I think School for Scoundrels, Bad Santa, and Mr. Woodcock is just him being him. But seriously though, Sling Blade and the recent Astronaut Farmer did prove that Billy is more than capable of… Read more
Brad Pitt with a bloody nose
Brad Pitt has been trying to get that nomination but seems to come up short. BABEL failed to showcase his talent and his performance in THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES doesn’t look extraordinary. If you ask me, I think he should’ve gotten recognized for the movie Seven and of course, Fight Club. Now he’s shooting a movie directed by the brothers of destruction, The Coen Brothers (Fargo, Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men) and this picture taken from the set, thanks to justjared, looks like Brad Pitt rides around on a bicycle and and cries over a bloody nose. The movie’s called BURN BEFORE READING.
Lucky for us, Mr. Pitt won’t always be doing wussy roles like this one, recently he’s signed on to co-star with Mark Wahlberg in another fight movie called THE FIGHTER where they play Irish brothers boxing their way out of the tough Massachusetts neighborhood. Brad might have to run the extra mile to earn an Oscar, but for now I think he should stick with giving punks the bloody nose.

IN THE VALLEY OF ELAH Review

Al Gore’s college roommate Tommy Lee Jones is the ultimate force that gives life to this military drama. Nobody’s ever doubted that Tommy is one hell of an actor even when he did some stupid roles in the past like Two-Face in Batman Forever. You can always count on Tommy bringing his A game that’s 110% percent. The presence of another… Read more
New Movie Poster of FRED CLAUS
Here’s the new movie poster of FRED CLAUS. This fall season, Santa’s big brother’s coming to the North Pole to meet the jolly family. Fred (Vince Vaughn) is nothing like his brother (Paul Giamatti), Fred’s all about partyin’ and chillin’ all day and all night eventually forcing the inspection dude (Kevin Spacey) to have to shut down the North Pole business.
I just hope Paul Giamatti’s not in the risk of becoming like Tim Allen and kill his career because unlike Tim, Paul Giamatti is actually a talented actor. If you’d like to see Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, and Kevin Spacey directly as they walk the red carpet at the premiere night of this movie on November 3th, then check out the information along with other other red carpet premiere schedules by going to the sidebar of this page, under ‘CHECK THESE OUT’, and click on ‘Red Carpet’
THE HUNTING PARTY Review

THE HUNTING PARTY is an enjoyable comedy/thriller. It celebrates journalism but at the same time pokes fun at everything a journalist would do to cover a story. The jokes are midly funny and the dramatic elements thrown in it are fairly powerful for moviewatching experience. In other words… Read more
