Mr. WOODCOCK Review

Billy Bob Thornton
Billy Bob Thornton is famous for being a ladies man, either that or a ladykiller. He’s been married 5 times, including one to earth’s pride and joy Angelina Jolie and no matter how wrinkly he’ll become, oddly women still find him irresistible. I think School for Scoundrels, Bad Santa, and Mr. Woodcock is just him being him. But seriously though, Sling Blade and the recent Astronaut Farmer did prove that Billy is more than capable of… acting, which is why I don’t understand why he and another great talent Susan Sarandon decided to join Stifler in this unfunny comedy Mr. WOODCOCK?

Mr. Woodcock

John Farley (Sean William Scott) is a successful author of bestselling novel ‘Letting Go’. When he finds out that his mother (Susan Sarandon) is dating the gym teacher from hell (Billy Bob Thornton), John discovers that letting go of the past may not be as easy as what his book suggests after all.

The jokes are weak, even the ones they show on the previews all this time. Ethan Suplee is funny in TV’s My Name is Earl, but in Mr. WOODCOCK, he’s not dumb funny, he’s just dumb. I don’t know what else to tell you other than the fact that this movie’s not worth watching in theaters, on DVD, not even on pirated bootleg download.
I was sitting in a theater room full of audiences and literally I didn’t hear any laughing except for once or twice of small chuckles here and there.
