I’m so excited about this info, you have no idea how euphorically happy I am to hear that Six Flags will make roller-coasters based on the upcoming new Batman film THE DARK KNIGHT. The roller-coasters will open in three theme parks: Six Flags Great America in… Illionois, Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey and Six Flags New England in Massachusetts.

With The Dark Knight Coaster, guests will experience the ride of their lives. Venturing through demented hallways of twists, turns and hallucinatory images, they are tormented by The Joker himself. Then as they set foot onto a distressed, vandalized train platform, they can only guess at what awaits them as they speed through six 180-degree hairpin turns, climb unseen hills, plunge into pitch darkness and dip into unforeseen danger. As they attempt to escape the terror, their only hope is that Gotham’s Silent Guardian - Batman - can save them.
The Dark Knight Coaster will use storytelling, physical movement, video, sound and special effects to bring guests a one-of-a-kind dark ride experience.

Yes, I do live in Southern California and I wish Six Flags Magic Mountain here would make THE DARK KNIGHT coaster too, because all we have here is the old Batman the Ride and Riddler’s Revenge the Ride, which are still pretty cool roller-coasters after all these years, but you know what?! This makes it all the more reason to visit other six flags that I’ve never been to and enjoy the thrill that is THE DARK KNIGHT.
To me, Six Flags is the happiest place on earth.
