an R-rated clip of AVP2: REQUIEM
Thanks to IGN and Movieweb, we can see a clip from the upcoming horror/action movie ALIEN Vs. PREDATOR: REQUIEM. Two species of monsters will battle each other in a small town Colorado. This scene is called the store showdown. The movie itself will prey on theaters everywhere December 25th. Merry Horror Christmas!

1). Gerard Butler (300) is NOT doing the remake of ‘Escape from New York‘ due to creative differences.
Whatever that differences may be, he’s made a damn good decision, too bad New Line doesn’t seem to care and is going to look for someone else to play the film’s main character Snake Plissken.
2). Will Ferell said to movieweb that there’s NO Anchorman 2 in the planning. Will did say some funny stuff regarding the possibility of doing a movie adaptation of TV series Land of The Lost. To read and laugh more, click HERE
What is up with John C. Reilly? Why does he keep making silly flicks (Talladega Nights, Dewey Cox)?! Does he want to be a part of frat pack so bad?! (Frat Pack is what the media refers to the gang that consists of Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Owen and Luke Wilson, Vince Vaughn, and Steve Carell)
John C. Reilly’s an Oscar nominee (Chicago). I love me some silly comedies, but do some quality movies again, too, for pit’s sake!
3). Jason Statham is back for CRANK 2 and it’s gonna be called CRANK 2: HIGH VOLTAGE and the writer for the thriller Zodiac will be the one to write the movie SPIDER-MAN 4. No word on who’s going to return for the project but we know for sure Sam Raimi’s not interested anymore.
First of all, High Voltage might be what Jason Statham’s character need to resuscitate himself after what happened to at the end of CRANK.
High voltage of electricity is what’ll get us to watch the sequel after how terribly made the first one was. O and I don’t give a crap about Spidey movies anymore. I still need my money back from having watched the third movie, which was an abomination to all living beings.

Seems like Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman are having a blast! One is an old ladies-man son of a gun who’s had a list of girlfriends as long as he’s been a movie star and the other old man was a god who should’ve won more than just one Oscar. These two legends will do road trip before they die in THE BUCKET LIST about the things you’ve always wanted to do in life before you kick the bucket. Directed by Rob Reiner who directed This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, and all the other better movies in the past, meaning he hasn’t done any cool film since those titles. Jack Black is KUNG FU PANDA
This is a very odd teaser trailer. We have Jack Black basically telling the story of what the film is about, but instead of just narrating, we can see him do his Jack Black usual stuff for most of the promo. It’s a bit silly and a bit overplayed but hey, it’s a kids movie, we can’t expect the school of Rock to act like Superbad gang. They way that the trailer shows the voice talents alongside the characters they play, I mean this whole format looks more like something you’d see on HBO’s The Making Of something something something.
From the studio that brought us the so-so animated comedy Madagascar, comes another film called KUNG FU PANDA. Starring the voices of Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, and Jackie Chan, what the?!.. I guess that’s all he’ll ever be good at… anything martial art even if it’s just to lend his voice, kinda like what he did with that TV cartoon Jackie Chan Adventures.
KUNG FU PANDA is about the laziest panda in the land named Po (Jack Black) who must learn kung fu to save the Valley of Peace from the evil snow leopard. Other than Shrek Dreamworks animation has never been as good as Pixar when it comes to the quality of the story but we’ll see about this one when it hits theaters June 6th, 2008.

1). Actress Gillian Anderson will most definitely return as Special Agent Dana Scully for X-Files 2 movie , joining the already on board David Duchovny a.k.a Special Agent Fox Mulder. Creator Chris Carter have written the script with co-writer Frank Spotnitz. The shooting will start this December 10 in Vancouver, Canada, the area where they used to film many of the TV series episodes.
Take that, haters! I’m a big fan of X-Files for life! I still think Scully is the Hottest character on TV history ever, I don’t care if she’s an old trapper! Maybe this time this sequel will be rated R, if you know what I mean.
2). Brett Ratner will NOT be doing the remake of ‘Escape from New York‘. He was supposed to replace Len Weisman (Live Free or Die Hard) but Rat left the project. This remake is still going to happen, though. The name Gerard Butler is attached to play the character Snake.
There is a God! Brett Ratner is not a talented filmmaker, he ruined X-Men 3 and Rush Hour movies were entertaining only because Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan were funny.
Kurt Russel himself isn’t happy about this whole remake thing and he said to moviehole that the only way he’d be willing to do a cameo is that if he gets paid a bank of money, probably more than what it took New Line Cinema to get Chris Tucker to do Rush Hour 3, which was 25 freakin’ million dollars!!!
Escape from New York movie’s not that old, why gotta have the remake now?!

Jolie’s pictures WANTED
Long time ago, we’ve shown you videos from the set of WANTED taken by fans, posted on youtube, also some photos from theh film set. Skinny Jolie driving red hot wheels. Now thanks to Empireonline.com, we’ve got official pictures from Angelina Jolie’s upcoming movie WANTED. She’s going to play an assassin, working for a fraternity led by Morgan Freeman who’s pretty good at playing a bad guy (Lucky Number Slevin). It also stars James McAvoy as a young man becoming an assassin. It sounds like it’s going to be action-packed but any film that comes out in the Spring usually are not all that compared to those in the Summer or Fall. WANTED will race in theaters March 28th, 2008.

and then… GREEN LANTERN Movie!
Variety reported that WB has signed director Greg Berlanti to direct Green Lantern The movie.
I’m not sure if this Greg Berlanti guy even got what it takes to helm an action movie because his resume so far consists of nothing but crappy TV series like Brothers & Sisters, Jack & Bobby, Everwood, Dawson’s Creek.
We don’t know yet whether Green Lantern movie is going to be a direct spin-off of the JLA movie just like The Flash movie plans to use the same actor JLA movie uses, but all these movies are being made about superheroes and stuff at first was really fun to anticipate, but now I feel like it’s a bit too much.
My favorite superhero is Batman, no doubt!
Do we really need gazillion movies about each and every single comic superhero out there?
It seems that after Transformers came out, all these movies studios just want to compete against each other to see which of them can present the next mindblowing computer generated action summer blockbuster!
It’s a gamble, it can become a hit (Batman Begins) or a disappointment (Spider-man 3)
Besides, who cares about Green Lantern?! Seriously! Sure he’s got some ring that can do stuff,… it looks too ridiculous.

According to MTV movie blog, director David Dobkin has agreed to direct the movie version of The Flash.
Director David Dobkin is known for great comedies like Shanghai Knight, Wedding Crashers, and the upcoming Fred Claus. We can breath well knowing that Dobkin isn’t planning on injecting comedic twist into this big budget project because the tagline for The Flash movie is going to be “You Can’t Outrun Yourself”.
I remember that TV series The Flash back in the early 90s that got canceled after one season or something like that.
Anyways, Dobkin hasn’t got anybody in mind yet to play the role of the man in red suit who can run faster than Buggati Veyron.
The word is that this movie itself won’t be in production until JLA movie is done, in simpler English… whoever actor is gonna play The Flash in JLA movie will be the one to star as the same character in The Flash Movie.
Ryan Reynolds would be a good choice, or maybe that dude that played Colossus in X2: X-Men United.

Del Toro to direct the last Harry Potter?
Comingsoon spoke to director Guillermo Del Toro recently, Del Toro by the way was the creator of what I think is one of the best movies I’ve seen in my life: Pan’s Labyrinth.
Their conversation was centered around the possibility that Guillermo Del Toro might direct the film adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s final Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.
And here’s what he briefly has to say about it
“They seem to be getting eerie and darker, and I’m up to be the one who kills twenty guys,” he said with a laugh, possibly referring to the plot of the last book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows“, which has yet to have a director attached to helm. “If they come back to me, I’ll think about it.”
Cool! Del Toro is talented when it comes to dark and gloomy stuff, so much so, that I think he’d do great directing Batman’s new franchise if Christopher Nolan wasn’t already in the driving seat. For more on the interview, just click HERE.

AWAKE Trailer
I’ve never been in a surgery room much less operated. Many of my friends who’ve gone through it said it the whole process was fine, harmless, they didn’t even know what was going on because they were under this things called anesthesia. But I’ve been told that there have been cases called “Anesthetic Awareness” where the anesthesia failed and patient ends up being aware and conscious during surgery but physically paralyzed. So they can hear their surroundings and possibly feel the pain but can’t do anything about it. Now that’s some scary stuff!
Hayden Christensen, the untalented actor that played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars prequel is going to play a patient, not ready for the nightmare he’s about to be a part of. Jessica Alba plays his skinny girlfriend and I don’t know what in this messed up world is Terrence Howard doing in a movie like this! He’s too talented for this kind of gig.
AWAKE was supposed to be around already but it’s scheduled to hit theaters November 30th.

They’ve got WONDER WOMAN for JLA Movie?
The word started at Moviehole and now it spread like wild fire. Though there’s no confirmation from WB yet, it seems like it becomes truer and truer that actress Teresa Palmer (Wolf Creek, December Boys) may have just landed the coveted role of Wonder Woman in the anticipated big screen version of JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA. After so many months of rumoring many names and re-taking those names, hopefully they’ve finally settled on this Blondie. Maybe she’ll dye her hair for the role, she’s gonna have to anyway.
Teresa Palmer hasn’t really made any significant or big budget movies, do you think she has what it takes to pull this off?
She’s cute but she needs to work out because Wonder Woman is known for being physically in shape and literally has nice lookin’ shape.
I think Mary Elizabeth-Winstead (Live Free or Die Hard) would’ve been a better choice.
This Teresa girl doesn’t look the part. Her image just doesn’t shout Wonder Woman.
I still think the JLA movie will be better off in CGI than live action.
They’re still casting the rest of the JLA team, but production should be happening pretty soon.

According to Variety, the Animation Picture Company is going make a movie adaptation of the popular video game character SPYRO THE DRAGON. It’s going to be a 3-D film and the story will closely follow the plot of the recently released Legend of Spyro game trilogy.
I’m not much of a video game person, but I remember this Spyro, the lil’ purple dragon that seems cute and all but once you piss him off, fire and smoke will burst right out of his nose. Give a cigarette to one of my friends and he can do the same trick.

UNDERWORLD 3 without Kate Beckinsale
I was not a big fan of the Underworld movies but the second movie, in my opinion, was much more entertaining than the first because it’s got more action, more creatures, and of course more of Kate Beckinsale, ehm…
So when there’s an info about UNDERWORLD prequel without Kate Beckinsale, I was thinking… then there’ll be no reason for anybody to watch that version.
But whether you like the first two movies or not, the fact is that they’re going to make UNDERWORLD: THE RISE OF THE LYCANS and a dude with a greek name Patrick Tatopoulos will be directing.
This one’s gonna be about how the lycans and vampires came to hate each other to death. Bill Nighy from the first movie is going to reprise his role and Rhona Mitra’s gonna play the somewhat similar type of role Kate Beckinsale’s character was. Kate said she might do a cameo since her husband, Len Weisman (lucky bastard) who directed the first two movies is going to produce this film project, which might begin production next January.
I don’t know if this is a good idea.. because UNDERWORLD without Kate Beckinsale is like Blade without Wesley Snipes, which by the way is what is in the planning. They wanna remake Blade, in other words, make a whole new movie of Blade with a fresh story and a different actor as if the first three Blade movies never existed. I know that Wesley Snipes doesn’t like paying his tax and for that I think he needs to be punished, but damn! Taking away a man’s pride and joy, now that’s cold!

At first I thought this movie’s not worth anyone’s time and it should’ve just gone straight to DVD instead of the big screen, because the first one was super lame. I don’t know if ALIEN Vs. PREDATOR: REQUIEM is going to make big bucks or not. All I know is that these new still images from the movie, recently posted on USA Today, seem like a good enough reason for me to check see the flick when these monsters battle each other in theaters this December 25.

Travolta and Denzel TAKING THE PELHAM Train
Variety said that John Travolta is in negotiation to join Denzel Washington in the remake movie ‘THE TAKING OF PELHAM 123’.
John will play the bad guy, the leader of the quartet that hijacks a subway train for the oldest motive in the world, ransom money. Denzel Washington is the chief detective of security for the subway.
It seems like Denzel always plays the role of a cop. Whether it’d be good cop or bad cop.
Denzel himself is still in production of his second film as a director, the movie’s gonna be called THE GREAT DEBATERS, a true story of a professor who inspired a group of students to start their school’s first debate team that went on to challenge Harvard in the national championship. It’s scheduled to open limited this Christmas
This PELHAM info is good news for John Travolta. We haven’t really seen him as a bad guy since the movie Punisher. He’s good at playing evil roles, you remember the movie Hannibal Rising about the young Hannibal Lecter? Maybe John Travolta should play Hannibal in his 50s.
