Ladies and Gentlemen, Couples and Singles everywhere. this film by the popular director Tyler Perry is by far one of the best movies of the year.
Tyler Perry (Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Daddy’s Little Girls) is a very talented filmmaker, I didn’t expect the writing to be so… powerful, the dialogue to be so shocking and the storyline to be so relevant and touching. I might turn into a hallmark card if I keep talking. It’s an outstanding work.

Four couples go up to the mountain for a couples retreat. Things get out of hand when a single temptress joins the group. During the whole week and even after the vacation, every one of them is faced with trials of marriage and the risk to save what’s left of it.

WHY DID I GET MARRIED is in my top ten list of best movies in 2007. Trust me, you would want to see this one, even if you’re not with any special someone currently, you could learn a thing or two from watching the situations presented by this very well made film. It’s not like any relationship romantic comedy/drama you’ve seen in the past. Writer/director Tyler Perry actually brought up some of today’s important marital problems and what marriage demands from those who choose to be a part of it.

The whole cast gave excellent performance, each and every one of them, which goes to show that sometimes you don’t need a star-studded cast to make the perfect movie.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry but most of all you’ll be left awestruck saying “That is the truth!” because it hits home.
Keep up the good work Mr. Perry, you might just earn yourself a nomination, cross your fingers!
