According to Variety, Universal has acquired the rights to “Heavier than Heaven”, a biography of Kurt Cobain, written by Charles Cross. The studio is thinking David Benioff (The Kite Runner, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) to write the screenplay for the untitled movie version.
The word is.. Cobain’s slutty lookin’ still alive and high wife Courtney Love will help produce the project.
To those of you who are too young and ignorant to remember who the hell Kurt Cobain was, he was the founder and leader the greatest grunge band in the whole wide Rock world, NIRVANA.

With bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl, who later formed Foo Fighters, Cobain’s growling delivery, inventive guitar work and lyrics that appealed to a disaffected young generation, Nirvana ushered in the Seattle grunge music movement in the early ’90s with hits like “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” He shot himself in 1994.

You should check out their MTV unplugged performance! The newly remastered DVD will be released this coming November 20th.
The point is, I’m stoked about this info and I hope they make the movie and I hope they make it right. First, they need to cast the right actor for the role.
I think either Johnny Depp or Jared Leto can play Kurt and maybe Winona Ryder or Tara Reid to play Courtney Love. Or maybe Courtney could play herself in the movie, we all know nobody else can be as messed up as she is.
Krist and Dave will have say on where and how the music’s gonna be used in the movie.

On another note, Renee Zelwegger is in talk to play biopic film of another Rocker named Janice Joplin. How do I recognize these names? Because I grew up listening to rock music.
I went to Experience Music Project museum in Seattle and they had like a big section just for NIRVANA.
Recently I went to Aberdeen, WA to check out where he grew up but the town has not set up an official memorial site just yet, they’re planning it though.
Kurt Cobain is still the highest earning, richest, dead celebrity in the world, beating the King Elvis. It’s one thing if a living-breathing person makes more money than you but if a dead man could still earn ridiculous income, that kinda makes us feel somewhat inadequate, don’t it?
