THE LONE RANGER Movie
EW said that the writers of Pirates of the Caribbean franchise are working on a draft THE LONE RANGER movie for producer Jerry “summer big budget” Bruckheimer. Most of young people today probably are not familiar with this character but it was a big hit back in 1950s. A TV series about a cowboy who fights for justice, helped by a Native American sidekick named Tonto. They’re like Western Batman and Robin. I used to watch the show when I was a kid but if you ask me details, then I probably wouldn’t remember any of the episodes anymore.
The problem probably is the fact that THE LONE RANGER character is too much of a good guy. Most western movies would have even their good guys haunted by his past and inner sins, which make the movie riveting, I like that word.
I still think Jerry Bruckheimer should produce a big screen version of The A-Team, now that would bring in audiences and big box office money.
