Rama’s SCREEN

This is a movie just for the fans. ALIEN VS PREDATOR: REQUIEM is better than the first AVP, which was boring and not enough action as far I could remember it. This new installment takes the battle to small town in Colorado, no it’s not South Park, though I’m sure Cartman would have a blast getting visitors from outer space. The brothers Strauss introduces us to… a new crossbreed between Alien and Predator, it looks bigger and more menacing, it’s like Predator with a tail and the ability to let you know you’re going to die as soon as its mouth opens up.

An unsuspecting small town in Colorado is the battle ground for the fight between two iconic monster in this new installment.

This movie brings back everything the fans know about Alien and everything about Predator, at least from what we know from watching its predecessors. I’m not a hardcore fan so I probably wouldn’t know the jargon down to a T, but Predator, for example, it’s got the helmet, the laser, still has the same technology to make itself invisible and blow itself up when cornered. And that hair, I betcha those predators like to listen to reggae back on their planet

The aliens for the most part still look the same, boy do those things move fast, they can sneak up on you like crazy!
The visual effects are pretty sweet! The suspense will keep your heart pumping and I’m glad this movie’s running time is short because it doesn’t waste time on the cheesy plot and jut goes straight for the action, one after another.

We all know that we don’t watch this movie to see great acting or great directing or great storyline because this movie doesn’t have those things. We watch this type of movie to see Aliens and Predators violently kill and hunt each other down while humans get trapped in between and that is exactly what you’d get when you watch AVP: R.
There’s this Ripley like character, a military woman, who don’t take crap from nobody. That character’s played by actress Reiko Aylesworth, or Michelle Dessler from TV’s 24.

I think this movie’s got enough bite to keep the fans happy
