Get Ready for CLOVERFIELD

A monster is on its way, ready or not… CLOVERFIELD crashes the party in NYC next Friday. I’m still not convinced but the whole world has been captivated by the trailers, the TV spots, the photos, even the attempt to figure out the actual appearance of the monster either by watching the clip slo-mo or making a bunch of assumptions.

Since it’s weekend, I figured let’s see some official CLOVERFIELD stuff that have been circulating all around the web.
Here are two TV spots, one is called witness and the other is titled incredible and both look the same to me.

Here’s a clip of the people at the party curious about what happened so they decide to go up on the roof and get more than they bargain for. Curiosity killed the cat and it can kill these people too.

The following image is the so-called new poster of CLOVERFIELD. I think it looks the same as the previous one they’ve advertised a while ago, it’s just that this time it has a tagline on the top of the liberty that says ‘Something Has Found Us’… oooo..am I supposed to be scared? Yeah, right! The next image right underneath this one is available at slashfilm. One of Paramount’s marketing strategy is to put a headless liberty statue in front of their headquarter in Hollywood. It certainly captures attention of everybody that passes by.

And these are production photos, basically pictures from the movies that director Matt Reeves and producer J.J. Abrams have shared with everyone. Images of devastation and despair and I’m still not convinced. Maybe this movie will be as good as what it promises to be. Who knows?!

CLOVERFIELD is about a monster attacking NYC and the event as it’s witnessed from the point of view of a small group of people.
The movie crashlands January 18th, 2008. Will it be a success? We, movie buff everywhere, will be the judge of that.
Have all these… stuff… convinced you to want to see the movie when it comes out next weekend??
