Many things can cause Post-Apocalypse times. It could be cyborgs, it could be nuclear war, maybe a poverty-stricken civilization on a newly inhabited planet. DOOMSDAY uses the good old plague.
This is the trailer for yet another post-apocalyptic movie DOOMSDAY starring the beautiful yet lethal Rhona Mitra. The story goes that England is infected with a virus and those who survive live in the containment while the outsiders are left to die. Thirty years later the virus breaks out again and the city with the great wall might not be protective enough anymore. A team of operatives is sent out in the quarantined country to retrieve any possible cure.

When I first read that synopsis long time ago, I thought the creatures would be zombies and nothing more, much like I Am Legend but the trailer shows that those who are outside the wall and still live as human manage to create a society much like Waterworld. Why do post-apocalyptic movies always have their people wear raggity clothes or some fashion statement that’s whacked? (Mad Max, Escape from New York)
