On his official website, Pierce Brosnan said that The Thomas Crown Affair 2 is going to happen.

“Thomas Crown 2 is in full swing with various location scouts completed in Dubai, Berlin, and Istanbul. Paul Verhoeven is set to direct.”

The first movie by the way starred the naked Rene Russo showing the world that 45 is the new 30… basically she was looking very good for her age in that movie. Unfortunately Rene won’t return for the sequel and this time,.. instead of stealing paintings, bad boy Thomas Crown will be stealing a big fat diamond. Didn’t Pierce already do something like that in the movie After the Sunset?

But you can definitely bet the movie’s going to have him swinging it with another gorgeous lady. Some say it might be Angelina Jolie but that has been confirmed yet. We can be sure of the steamy part because this sequel will be directed by a guy who knows first thing about making movies with strong sexual content, director Paul Verhoeven (Basic Instinct, Showgirls, Starship Troopers)

But before Pierce Brosnan gets on that project, he’s first set to star in a movie VANILLA GORILLA. According to him, it’s about…

“…an adventure film about an albino gorilla that has the capacity to speak through sign language. It’s the story of a father and daughter who find themselves on an adventure of a lifetime, as they try to restructure their relationship after the loss of their mother / wife. Another celebrity trying to save the day. If Leonardo Di Caprio got Al Gore’s back on the war against Global Warming, Pierce likes to protect the animals. That’s cute and all.. but..
Pierce Brosnan making a movie with an Albino Gorilla?? Can’t he just produce that and let someone else play the role??
If he’s trying to diversify, this is a bad way to do it. Who the bloody hell wants to see an ex -James Bond in a jungle playing Dr. Doolittle??

He’s already coming up with a couple of movies that we’re not too sure about… MARRIED LIFE in March and MAMMA MIA in July.
I remember his straight to DVD movie Seraphim Falls was one of the worst western movies ever and now all these?!
I don’t know about you but either Pierce has some sort of difficulties in finding a good project or he just doesn’t know what else to do ever since he stopped being James Bond.
