The World is Going BLIND
Director Meirelles was responsible for an awesome movie (City of God) and for a boring awesome movie (The Constant Gardner) and now he’s going to have another thriller coming soon called BLINDNESS.
The concept’s’ pretty interesting, the whole world is suddenly stricken with a weird pandemic, everybody’s going blind.
I mean.. everybody, including Mark Ruffalo, Gael Garcia Bernal, and Danny Glover.
But not Julianne Moore, she’s the only one who could still see. The old saying goes, in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
I hope this doesn’t turn out as disappointing as Julianne Moore’s recent thriller cause they’ve all been nothing impressive (Children of Men, Next, The Forgotten).
BLINDNESS opens its eyes in theaters October 3rd, 2008. Here is the teaser trailer. What do you see?
