Superman’s New Girlfriend?
Superman may have his eyes fixed on another girl. Someone who’s not Lois Lane for once.
There’s a rumor going around, via Zee News, that a role has been offered to Bollywood Mega hottie Priyanka Chopra to play Superman’s love interest in the sequel titled SUPERMAN: MAN OF STEEL.
There is no confirmation yet and no word on whether or not she’s accepted the offer.
If she accepts, then she will play a hot scientist.
I love a beautiful women with brains.
Double the beauty.
What’s going to happen with Lois Lane? If the story continues from the previous movie, Superman Returns, then Lois Lane is engaged to another man and she has a son…. so having Superman as the dad in the picture is very unlikely.
It’ll probably be a secret they’ll both keep forever.
I as an Asian hope that this rumor will turn out to be true. An Indian woman would do Superman some good.

No commentsTwo New Photos: HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE
I’m gonna be running the San Diego Rock n’ Roll Marathon tomorrow.
It’s 26.2 miles of ‘what the hell am I doing here?!’ But it’s something I have to do. It’s now or never. I believe that we have to push ourselves to the limit, to see how far our minds and bodies can take us. To live extraordinarily. Running a marathon is one way to do exactly that.
Meanwhile, via slashfilm and bloghogwarts. Here are two New Photos from the upcoming sequel HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE.
The movie opens November 21st, 2008
Official Plot Synopsis:
Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort’s defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane’s chocolates! And then there’s Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
JACK BLACK and Rama’s SCREEN
Yesterday afternoon, I went to the screening of Kung Fu Panda, the new animated movie starring the voice of Jack Black as the main character. The event was held at Sherry Lansing theater inside Paramount Pictures Studio. I arrived very early, so I snuck in and saw the movie when it was just private screening held for the employees and their families. Afterwards, I wandered around the studio for a bit, looking at the backlot and all the props and the set and what not. And Jack Black apparently was taking a tour around the studio too.
I went back to the theater and met a cool woman named Carolyn, I hope I spelled that correctly.
And so the screening began, and I watched the movie again. After it ended, Jack Black showed up and the audiences got to ask him a question.
I asked him if SCHOOL OF ROCK 2 is ever going to happen, to which he replied that there’s been drafts out there but no deal is locked and sealed yet but he wants to re-visit the character and rock again.
After all was said and done, the audiences were directed to the exits, but my new friend was persistent, she wanted to take picture with Jack Black and so she did and she kindly helped me get a picture with him too.
It was one of the most awesomest experiences ever!

In the evening, we drove to Pico Blvd at Landmark Theater to catch the screening of PINEAPPLE EXPRESS.
I’ll have the review by next week. The movie won’t be released until August 8th, 2008.
All I can say for now is that if you like Ceech and Chong, Half-Baked, Friday, Harold and Kumar and a bunch of cool action movies with lots of explosion and outrageous stunts, then you’ll like the new stoner movie by Seth Rogen and James Franco.
After the movie, they showed up to answer audiences’ questions. There was one dude who wasted everybody’s precious time by asking a stupid question, it was so dumb that Seth had to ask for anyone to ask another question to make up for it.
I can’t believe nobody asked him about the rumor of him planning to make THE GREEN HORNET Movie.
People are so not movie-connected these days.
James Franco is much more friendlier than Seth Rogen who seems a bit distant, he’s one of those ‘don’t touch me’ kinda celebrity.
WALL-E and the Bouncy Balls, WALL-E on the Morning Show
These are two new WALL-E video Clips to entertain you. He’s played with the vacuum cleaner, magnet, hoola hoop, headphones and now he meets some bouncy balls which he tries to turn it into one of his compact trash.
The next clip is the WALL-E animatronic visits a morning show and I gotta tell ya, seeing that one makes me wanna get the robot even more now. I better check how much money I have in my pocket to see if I could actually afford one.
The movie hits theaters June 27th, 2008
KUNG FU PANDA Review

Awesome! That’s the word I tend to use from time to time when I see something that’s just way cool. It’s even cooler to find that that’s the exact word popularized by the character Po the Panda in this movie. Dreamworks animated movies may not be in the same competitive level as Pixar flicks, which… Read more
MIRRORS Featurette

Kiefer Sutherland’s new movie MIRRORS has come up with the new featurette and a couple of new images, first available at shocktilyoudrop.
Watching this clip is like watching an episode of 24, but this time, instead of terrorists, Jack Bauer seems to be chasing ghosts.
It sells itself as a suspense/thriller/horror.
Comedian Dane Cook once made fun of Kiefer saying that he’s got a plot for Kiefer’s series, where he’ll have only 24 hours to resurrect his film career.
Check out this new featurette that has behind the scenes previews and Kiefer Sutherland explaining to us what his movie and his character are all about and watch ourselves get even more confused.
In MIRRORS, Kiefer Sutherland will play an ex-cop who works security at a mall and discovers something awry in the mirrors of a department store. He tries to discover the origin of the evil
The movie opens August 15th, 2008.

TDK in the Big Apple!

Via Guesswhichmovie, here is an image of a huge ad for THE DARK KNIGHT posted on the side of a building located on Park Avenue and 23rd Street in New York City
2 Things I’d like to say about this… they should have this up in Chicago, because the filming took place there.
I like the image, I think it’s awesome, but I also thing it’d be even cooler if the image has some sort of a 3-D repetitive effect… anytime a car passes by, the driver might see what seems to be Batman riding his Batpod out of the windows.
The super movie opens July 18th, 2008.
No comments2 New Clips: THE INCREDIBLE HULK
Here are two new clips from the upcoming Marvel movie THE INCREDIBLE HULK.
The first one features Edward Norton as Bruce Banner hitchhiking in the middle of nowhere until Liv Tyler as Betty Ross picks him up.
This is an ode to the TV series Bruce Banner who used to hitchhike very often.
The second clip has Edward Norton falling down from a helicopter, knowing that he will crashland angry,… very angry.
The movie opens June 13th, 2008
Frank Miller Blogs more about THE SPIRIT
It’s been a long day yesterday. So I figured I’d start with something light and straight to the point.
Just like any filmmakers today, director Frank Miller also blogs about his upcoming movie THE SPIRIT.
In his latest post, he explains to his fans that despite the fact that the teaser gives the impression that it’s going to look a lot like Sin City, the fact remains that it will be far different because Frank Miller’s determined to be loyal to graphic novelist Will Eisner’s vision instead of copying Frank’s own Sin City creation which relies heavily only on black and white.
Synopsis: Adapted from the legendary comic strip, THE SPIRIT is a classic action-adventure-romance told by genre-twister FRANK MILLER (creator of 300 and SIN CITY). It is the story of a former rookie cop who returns mysteriously from the dead as the SPIRIT (Gabriel Macht) to fight crime from the shadows of Central City. His arch-enemy, the OCTOPUS (Samuel L. Jackson) has a different mission: he’s going to wipe out Spirit’s beloved city as he pursues his own version of immortality. The Spirit tracks this cold-hearted killer from Central City’s rundown warehouses, to the damp catacombs, to the windswept waterfront … all the while facing a bevy of beautiful women who either want to seduce, love or kill our masked crusader. Surrounding him at every turn are ELLEN DOLAN (Sarah Paulson), the whip-smart girl-next-door; SILKEN FLOSS (Scarlett Johansson), a punk secretary and frigid vixen; PLASTER OF PARIS (Paz Vega), a murderous French nightclub dancer; LORELEI (Jaime King), a phantom siren; and MORGENSTERN (Stana Katic), a sexy young cop.
Then of course, there’s SAND SAREF (Eva Mendes), the jewel thief with dangerous curves. She’s the love of his life turned bad. Will he save her or will she kill him?
Just check out this excerpt from the blog and judge it for yourself
THE SPIRIT Blog #9
TO MY READERS
Much has been the fuss in the comics’ blogosphere about my SPIRIT movie—much justified, much hoped for, and much to my delight, that there has been a fuss at all. Some comics readers are terrified that THE SPIRIT will be a retread of my SIN CITY. Others quarrel over the change of the SPIRIT’S traditional blue hat, mask, and jacket, to black. These are understandable concerns for any lover of Will Eisner’s masterpiece. I take this opportunity to address these concerns. With glee, I take this opportunity.
THE SPIRIT is, with every effort I give it, not a rusty, dusty old monument to the work of my beloved Mentor, so much as it is an extension of what I know to have been Eisner’s central intent: to create something new, witty, and exploratory. That’s what he did. That’s what I’m doing.
It only resembles SIN CITY in that I am its director, and, well, yes, I have my ways and my proclivities. Luckily, I was able to discern three important proclivities I share with the Master. We both love good stories. We both love New York City. And we both love beautiful women.
(Please forgive my constant present-tense references to my dear friend. His creative force, and his force of personality, remains so strong in my mind that I can’t often think of Will Eisner as a man who has left us.)
Now, about that blue suit.
Comic books have long traditions based on the limitations of pre-digital printing. Among these are traditions from the old newsprint-run-through-letterpress approach (yes, comics have been—and still do–follow tradition that dates all the way back to Gutenberg!). Bad printing on pulp paper is why it was necessary for every superhero to have his emblem printed on his chest, and that everything that’s black be printed in blue. Hence Superman’s preposterous blue hair. And the Spirit’s blue hat, mask, and suit.
In tests—and we did several—the blue made the Spirit look like an unfortunate guest at a Halloween party. Going to black brings back his essential mystery, his Zorro-like sexiness. It also makes that red tie of his look very, very cool. So I made the call, with all respect to Eisner’s creation, and most importantly, to what I perceived as his underlying intention. It was an easy call for me to make. The Spirit dresses in black, and looks much the better for it. As I said, my desire was never to slavishly follow the rules of ’40s printing into campy oblivion, but to reintroduce Eisner’s creation, via modern technology, to our brave new world.
And THE SPIRIT as some sort of SIN CITY REDUX? No, SIN CITY, that one’s my own baby, folks, and it looks the way it does for its own reasons. THE SPIRIT is, and will always be, Eisner’s SPIRIT. Anybody watching me on the set could attest that I very frequently drew a storyboard for a given shot first as I saw it, then as Will might’ve seen in—and, in every case, went with what I saw as Will’s version.
To drive the point home, THE SPIRIT, despite any accidental impression left by that kickass teaser-trailer, is a full-color movie. SIN CITY—and I hope to make of it a movie trilogy all its own, come Hell and high water—is, visually, a playhouse for black and white.
THE SPIRIT’s been one hell of an adventure, one that’s made me love the world of comics more than ever.
I’m confident that it’s going to be one hell of a good movie.

THE STRANGERS Review

This one of the scariest horror flicks that I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Finally, after all the crappy Japanese remakes out there and all the other porn torture mumbo jumbo… an original stuff like THE STRANGERS has restored my faith in horror genre. There have been many movies out there about intruders and people messing up with people’s minds, but only… Read more
NIGHTS IN RODANTHE Trailer
A very attractive 42 year old woman named Diane Lane reunited with her Unfaithful co-star, Richard Gere, in the movie NIGHTS IN RODANTHE.
Chick flicks are just okay in my opinion, but I thought The Notebook was such an awesome movie so when I heard that this movie is based on book by the same author, Nicholas Sparks,… this has officially become a must see Chick Flick.
A doctor (Gere) who is traveling to see his estranged son sparks with an unhappily married woman (Lane) at a North Carolina inn.
James Francho plays the estranged son, which is interesting cause he also played an estranged son in Robert De Niro’s 2002 movie City By The Sea.
NIGHTS IN RODANTHE opens October 3rd, 2008.
ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO Teaser
Careful, this is only for audiences over 18 years old. I don’t usually give a heads up warning, but this rated R for rirarious as in red band hilarious, if that makes any sense at all.
In this upcoming movie by Silent Bob a.k.a director Kevin Smith, we see Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks trying to start a porno business to get out of debt.
Of course, like in all movie business, the porno stars have go through audition. Hear some funny comments by Seth and Elizabeth responding to some of things they have to see that we don’t get to see… fortunately.
The word is the full trailer will be attached to the upcoming pothead comedy THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS.
ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO opens October 31st, 2008. Way to celebrate Halloween.
TV’s Hulk Vs. Jason Segel
Lou Ferrigno is the dude who played the Hulk in the old TV series. Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) decides to take him down, bad idea! You wouldn’t wanna make Lou angry… very angry.
This funny clip was taken on the set of their new movie I LOVE YOU MAN.
GET SMART New Trailer
My friend, Screener Mike said he’s watched this movie months ago on the same day that I should’ve gone too but I decided to go to the screening of Harold and Kumar 2 instead.
He said the movie overall was okay but the humor is intended more for younger audiences to enjoy.
By that, I take it the movie’s comedy won’t be a laugh riot.
But this new trailer for GET SMART that hit the web today still has the funny parts. That fatso from Borat is hilarious and he doesn’t even have to do much.
The movie opens June 20th, 2008.
BURN AFTER READING Red Band Trailer
The genius brothers behind The Big Lebowski, Fargo and No Country For Old Men seem to have their next big hit.
Focus Features has given me the heads up. Here’s the red band trailer for BURN AFTER READING and from the looks of it, I don’t think it’s gonna win any Oscar but it sure entertain those of us who like The Coen Brothers’ sense of humor.
The movie opens September 12th, 2008.
Synopsis: A dark spy-comedy from Academy Award winners Joel and Ethan Coen. An ousted CIA official’s (Academy Award nominee John Malkovich) memoir accidentally falls into the hands of two unwise gym employees intent on exploiting their find.
Starring: Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, George Clooney, Tilda Swinson, Frances McDormand, J.K. Simmons and John Malkovich
Adam Sandler and Rama’s SCREEN
Remember when I told you I met Adam Sandler, MTV has the clip, they cut out my question but at least the clip shows me shaking hands with Adam Sandler. It’s awesome. Just forward to the last part.
You’ll see. It’s awesome!
