Captain America appears or does NOT appear in THE INCREDIBLE HULK?
A few days ago, there’s an info that states that THE INCREDIBLE HULK director Louis Leterrier said that Captain America shows up in the movie, even though I saw it at a screening and didn’t spot the man with the shield, not even once. Maybe I wasn’t looking carefully.
But according to Collider, Louis Leterrier insists that Captain America IS in the movie but he won’t reveal which scene..
“No, I can’t. Otherwise it’s not fun. Are you crazy? It’s an Easter egg,” said Leterrier. “It’s an Easter egg. It’s not like oh, it’s Captain America and it changes everything. It’s still a Hulk movie, but it’s really Captain America and it’s there, you’ll see. It’s the real deal. You have to look for it.”
But then strangely enough, Louis Leterrier reveals the scene to SOS Hollywood, but sadly the scene was cut out from the finished film.
“There’s a point when Bruce Banner gives up on his quest for the cure and decide to kill himself. So he travels far North and reaches the Arctic Circle. You might have seen bits of it in some of the promos. The result was a very dark and strong scene, which Marvel, me and everyone else’s considered to be too hard to young audiences to take, so we’ve cut it. Having that said, when Bruce arrives at his destination he meets up with Captain America! At some point this week, we will make it available on the internet – but I cannot tell you where or when – and the material will definitely be on the DVD.”
I’m glad that whole suicidal Bruce Banner is left out of the final film. Because the movie is awesome, it doesn’t need any depressing moment, certainly not about a person trying to kill himself. There’ll be kids watching this movie for pit’s sakes.
If Louis means what he promises, then as soon as that clip is available on the web, I’ll post it here.
So what’s it gonna be, Leterrier? Is it going to be part of the DVD, or is it in the movie that audiences everywhere will see starting this weekend?
But don’t fret, because the scene where Nick Fury played by Sam L. Jackson appears at the end of IRON MAN Movie, that scene was not part of the early screening product.
But then it got attached when the movie was released to public nationwide.
So there’s still hope… This weekend, I’m gonna see THE INCREDIBLE HULK again, just to see if Louis somehow punk’d all of us and actually leaves the Captain America cameo in the movie somewhere… or maybe after the end credits roll.. I say that because the part where Tony Stark appears is before the credits roll.
