Christopher Lee does NOT want to play Saruman in THE HOBBIT Movie

Above is the video clip via Rushblogg that caught veteran actor Christopher Lee at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival commenting on his LOTR character Saruman and director Guillermo Del Toro’s new epic prequel THE HOBBIT

Apparently Christopher Lee’s position on the project differs from his previous statement a while ago.
This time, he basically said that he will not reprise the role Saruman in THE HOBBIT mainly because Saruman is not in the book.
But he’s also aware that Guillermo Del Toro plans it to make it into a two film movie, where supposedly the second film might be about The Council of Wizard in which Saruman might appear.

Christopher Lee’s other objection is that staying in New Zealand for the filming/production that could take months just simply isn’t appealing to him anymore. Which is understandable.. Because if you were 80 years old like he is, you’d feel too old and tired to be traveling half around the world and stay far away from the comfort of your home for a long time.

Just watch the clip above, and if you’re a fan of Tolkien’s Middle-earth world, what is your take on this info?
