WATCHMEN Trailer hits the web

Along with Terminator Salvation, The trailer for WATCHMEN will also be attached to THE DARK KNIGHT and someone has leaked it online. It was originally available at empireonline.com. The clip is quite lengthy and it reveals a lot. What do you think about this one?

SYNOPSIS:

A complex, multi-layered mystery adventure, “Watchmen” is set in an alternate 1985 America in which costumed superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the “Doomsday Clock” - which charts the USA’s tension with the Soviet Union - is permanently set at five minutes to midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the washed-up but no less determined masked vigilante Rorschach sets out to uncover a plot to kill and discredit all past and present superheroes. As he reconnects with his former crime-fighting legion - a ragtag group of retired superheroes, only one of whom has true powers - Rorschach glimpses a wide-ranging and disturbing conspiracy with links to their shared past and catastrophic consequences for the future. Their mission is to watch over humanity…but who is watching the watchmen?

WATCHMEN opens March 6th, 2008

    You gotta love the irony:

“The Beginning is the End is the Beginning” is on the soundtrack of the nipplesuitfest that is “Batman and Robin.”

Now that Pumpkins song is on the trailer to another superhero movie that contains a Batman-looking character (Nite Owl), and the trailer itself is attached to “The Dark Knight,” the polar opposite of “Batman and Robin” as far as Batman goes.

Full circle, my friend. Full circle.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

    Excellent observation, Ryan!
Good take on the trailer :)

I remember the Smashing Pumpkins song was the only thing awesome about the movie BATMAN AND ROBIN.

Have you seen THE DARK KNIGHT?
I hope you were as amazed as I was about the masterpiece.
