I was disappointed with this movie. I expected a good solid comedy film with lots of laughs, but instead I found myself bored, occassionally confused, and even taken aback. If you want to see a comedy, don’t go to Tropic Thunder, go see Pineapple Express!

Funniest movie of the year. Robert Downey Jr. carries the film from the moment Ben Stiller’s character goes one way and the rest of the characters go the other way, and the buzz in the Hollywood press is that a Best Supporting Actor campaign for him is building momentum.

The movie was OK..it was the previews at the beginning of the movie when all the characters are being introduced that killed me…

I think it was a smart-comedy.

If you wanna laugh out loud you’ll watch BORAT, but here there are so many small jokes and references to other movies that I really enjoyed.

Robert Downey Jr is a giant, but I liked them all, even Jack Black as heroin-addicted (and I DID laughed out loud when he proposed sex to colleagues in order to be freed…).

Wouldn’t give an Oscar to Downey Jr (ever seen The Joker?), but I enjoyed the movie a lot.
