Robert Downey Jr. is a MASTERMIND

MasterMind

Who would’ve thought that the man who at one point was known for doing blow as his favorite hobby, has now become the hottest commodity in Hollywood.
Robert Downey Jr. is on cloud nine. With the box office success of Iron Man and the millions who are praising his hilarious but brilliant performance in the hilarious comedy Tropic Thunder, plus his anticipated Oscar worthy movie THE SOLOIST, things are just gettin’ better and better for him.

He’s set to play SHERLOCK HOLMES in director Guy Ritchie’s new take on the famous fictional detective. Hugh Hefner wants Robert Downey Jr. to play him in the biopic movie about the rise of PLAYBOY. He was said to star in Universal’s/Dreamworks movie adaptation based on the comic book COWBOYS & ALIENS

Let me catch my breath… sounds like I just said somebody’s resume out loud.
Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Mr. Tony Stark, Robert Downey Jr. is going to join the hottest female geek in the universe, Tina Fey, (I love a hot woman with glasses on) as voice stars in DreamWorks Animation’s MASTERMIND, which is a satirical send-up of the superhero genre, built around the story of a super villain who must find a new motivation after accidentally killing his archrival, Uberman, in the opening scene of the movie.

Interesting concept, a villain without a hero to fight, would that be something you’d wanna watch?
I can see it now, next year, because the project is about superheroes, the movie will most likely make presence at the Comic-Con 2009 with the whole cast talking about the movie at the Panel.

MASTERMIND is produced by Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Films. The story is based on a script from Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons and will be directed by DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson. They both worked in the animation dept. for movies like Shark Tale, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Road to El Dorado, Prince of Egypt.

MASTERMIND is scheduled for a November 5, 2010 release.
