SPIDERMAN 4 and 5 got Raimi and McGuire? What about the next Villain?

Raimi, Mcguire, Dunst

Wow I’ve been away for a whole day today… geez.. I’m missing out on a lot.
For your awesome information. I am now right this second, sitting in a costly hotel in San Francisco with my family,… not for business, just for vacation. But let’s get right back to what we know best, shall we.

I’ll make this quick and painless.
All this time there have been talks about SPIDERMAN 4 and SPIDERMAN 5 with scripts by scribe Jamie Vanderbilt, NIkki Finke of Deadline Hollyood Daily heard that Tobey McGuire and director Sam Raimi will be returning for the new installments.
No word yet on if Kirsten Dunst is going to reprise her role but there will be Mary Jane Watson and Sony is not planning to recast her.
Now see… that’s where I’d say, you lost me at hello.
If I were Sony, I’d recast her ass even before she got the role in the first Spiderman movie.

Regarding the villain, nobody knows that yet, and no one knows who will play the character but the website says..

“once you find out who the villain is, you’ll know who’s playing it.”

Here are the rumors.. and frankly, they sound a bit silly
Dylan Baker’s character of Dr. Curt Connors will ultimately turn into The Lizard as he did in the comic books.
Daniel Gillies, who plays John Jameson, the astronaut fiance of Mary Jane in Spider-Man 2. In the comics he becomes the villain Man-Wolf.

The word is Raimi has said in the past that he wants the best actors to play the villains in the movie, not necessarily the most famous.
Okay, I know I was driving 7 hours straight… but since when did Topher Grace become one of the so-called ‘best actors’
If any, he went down in history an actor who was the wrong man for the job.
Venom should’ve been so much more awesome…

The Studio also wants to know if both films can be filmed simultaneously or at the same time so it would be cost effective.
SPIDERMAN 4 and SPIDERMAN 5 won’t be following the dark and gloomy world of THE DARK KNIGHT.
That’s cool and all, I can dig the whole staying true to your own color and not jumping on the bandwagon of every other studio that’s been trying to copy TDK one way or another.

But let’s face it… it’s not like the NOT so dark and gloomy world of Spiderman 1, 2, and 3 were all that amazing either.
What it needs is a great storyline and I’m hoping this Jamie Vanderbilt would bring in his script some breath of fresh air.
Yes, The Dark Knight has amazing performance by Heath Ledger, but if it didn’t have the award worthy storyline it did, the movie would probably be nothing but okay.

Just a reminder that Julie Taymor (Across the Universe) is developing SPIDERMAN The Musical
And if all goes well,..there’s going to be a VENOM The Movie.,… will they get it right this time? I have my doubts
