Lucas’ INDIANA JONES 5 ‘Think Mode’
Harrison Ford a.k.a the now old and slow Indiana Jones talked to LA Times recently and revealed that one of the people behind the archeologist hero character, George Lucas has begun his job of thinking to find the right story for the next installment…
“It’s crazy but great,” the 66-year-old Ford said. “George is in think mode right now.”
“It’s automatic, really, we did well with the last one and with that having done well and been a positive experience, it’s not surprising that some people want to do it again,” Ford said.
As much as I hated INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL, Ford did make sense when he said that the movie did well. In fact it earned $318 million in the U.S. alone and $770 million worldwide. Too much for a movie that I think doesn’t deserve such flattery.
So,.. George Lucas is puttin’ his thinking hat on… here are some suggestions for him to.. think about..
* No more ALIENS and SPACESHIP!
* No more Shia swinging from tree to tree with monkeys!
* No more stupid gophers
* No more unnecessary CGI crap that doesn’t help at all
* Feel free to erase Shia’s character Mutt Williams altogether
* Teach Karen Allen a.k.a Marion a.k.a Indy’s wife to stop smiling too much.
I still think they should’ve left the trilogy of the first three movies alone. Lucas should just let Spielberg take care of the whole thing about INDIANA JONES 5 from story to production.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL hits DVD and Blu-Ray on October 14th, 2008
