I remember a South Park episode where the whole town came to a realization that the time is now here for them to be allowed to make fun of AIDS.
But what about Cancer? Can we laugh at Cancer or is it not time for that yet?!
According to Hollywood Reporter, Mandate Pictures has picked up a Cancer Comedy spec script titled I’M WITH CANCER written by a comedic autobiographical spec written by Will Reiser (former producer of HBO’s Ali G show) The story is about his struggle to beat cancer, centering on a 25-year-old who finds out he has the disease.

Seth Rogen will produce with his writing-producing partner Evan Goldberg (Superbad, Pineapple Express) and Ben Karlin (”The Daily Show With Jon Stewart“). Rogen also will have a supporting role in the film.
Rogen has a lot in his pocket. He’s still filming Judd Apatow’s comedy FUNNY PEOPLE, he’s also set to write and direct JAY AND SETH Vs. THE APOCALYPSE, he still needs to develop THE GREEN HORNET Movie and he’ll also be busy promoting ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO which opens this Halloween season and the movie MONSTERS Vs. ALIENS which opens Next Year.
Five years ago, no one knew who the hell Seth Rogen was,… now his face, his name will be plastered everywhere. The dude’s making a crapload of money.

So.. a Cancer Comedy? Hilarious concept or an insensitive one?
