Rama’s SCREEN

Back in January, it was reported that David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, Zodiac) was going to direct the movie adaptation RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMA which is based on a novel by author Arthur C. Clarke, it’s about a group of human explorers who find and try to unlock a giant interstellar spaceship hurtling through earth’s solar system, going towards the sun.
The name Morgan Freeman was attached to the project and Fincher was waiting for the script.
Bad news for those of you who are fans of Fincher’s movies, First Showing got to talk with the director of this Holiday season’s movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and unfortunately RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMA might Never happen.. ever…

“It looks like it’s not going to happen. There’s no script and as you know, [Morgan Freeman’s] not in the best of health right now,” admitted Fincher. “We’ve been trying to do it but it’s probably not going to happen.”

Has Morgan Freeman even recovered yet from that car accident?
Well, RENDEZVOUS WITH RAMA Might never happen.. BUT… RENDEZVOUS WITH Rama’s SCREEN will always happen for those of you who are movie freaks at heart.
The bright side, at least there’s one other movie project that has uses my name in the title… that is still going to happen.
