I AM Writer for OLDBOY
Will Smith is getting more and more influential these days… he can have his own children play his kids in any of his movies that requires him to play a dad and now he wants his choice of writer to do the script for his next movie. He’s acting like a true prince of Bel-Air.
Remember the info about Spielberg and Will Smith teaming up to remake a Korean awesomeness called OLDBOY? According to Hollywood Reporter, co-writer of I Am Legend, Mark Protesevich, is in talks to adapt and write an American version based on the original 2003 South Korean sensation about a man who is locked in a room for 15 years without knowing why or who is holding him captive. He is suddenly released, given money, clothes and a cellphone and is sent on journey to find those responsible and team ‘em a lesson they’ll never forget.
Mark Protesevich has also written a draft for THOR movie which will be directed by Kenneth Branagh. Previously, he may have screwed up by writing POSEIDON the remake which was an embarrassment to mankind but I’m a big fan of his work on the 2000 visual-feast supernatural thriller THE CELL starring Jennifer Lopez.
So having a big reliable name like Will Smith vouch for him could bring some peace of mind to OLDBOY the remake but there’s still that possibility he might pull a ‘Poseidon‘ instead.

What Do You Think?

God, I’m so afraid they screw up with this movie…
call Paul Haggins, call Rodriguez, not Protesevich…
come on…
we’re talking about OLDBOY, probably my favourite movie…
pleas edo NOT srew up Holliwood…pleeeeeeease…
(and already i’m they’re changing the end which is pretty much 35% of the movie….)
Paul Haggins would be a good recommendation.
We can only cross our fingers and hope for the best right now..
Hollywood and its damn remakes!
[…] still though, Spielberg and Will Smith got Mark Protosevich to adapt the story.. in other words,.. the movie still has a chance of screwing things up. […]
