WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU Trailer & Clips

I don’t know about your thanksgiving but my thanksgiving was so ordinary,.. not much different than how it was in previous years. Maybe because my mind was occupied the entire time by the upcoming Black Friday. I’m counting down to tomorrow, the big sale day, where everything is mad cheaper than ever, it’s gonna be one helluva day. You know that feeling you get when your bladder is full and you’re standing outside the restroom, can’t wait to unleash it all once you get your turn?! That type of impatience is exactly what’s running through my veins right now. I already saw people camping outside local Best Buy stores, the lines are going to be crazy once the stores open at 6 AM tomorrow morning, things are gonna be sold out into the third hour. I may not be that fanatic but I’m excited nonetheless.

For now, for your entertainment, Check out the new trailer above for the upcoming Boston Crime thriller/drama (nope, it’s not The Departed 2, sorry!) from Yari Films Group, WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU starring the reliable Ethan Hawke (Training Day, Before The Devil Knows You’re Dead) and Mark Ruffalo who’s been alright as an actor but he hasn’t proven to be something more. What’s intriguing is that the story is based on the life of the filmmaker of this movie, Brian Goodman and this is his first big screen directing gig, so I respect that!
Not only the trailer, here are 5 Clips from the movie too.

Brian and Paulie are two young punks running loose on the hard streets of South Boston. Coming from separate but equally broken homes, the boys bond of friendship makes them brothers. They do whatever it takes to survive, living by the code of their dog eat dog neighborhood.

“KEEP IT”

As Brian (Mark Ruffalo) and Paulie (Ethan Hawke) get older, petty crimes and misdemeanors grow into more serious offenses. Eventually, they fall under sway to the organized crime boss Pat Kelly (Brian Goodman) who runs the felonious backroom businesses and illicit trades in Southie. They also find themselves the targets of unwanted attention from Detective Moran (Donnie Wahlberg) one of Bostons finest. And Brian in particular becomes lost in haze of drugs and rebellion. Even the love he has for his wife Stacy (Amanda Peet) and his children isnt enough to redeem him.

“YOU GOT TWO CHOICES”

In time, the friends find themselves in jail just a part of doing business on the mean streets they call home. Although not gone away forever Brian and Paulie are incarcerated long enough to learn a few lessons, but will they lead to changed lives on the outside? A storm of trouble is brewing: Paulie has big plans to liberate them from their life of crime just one more job one last heist a bold and potentially violent daylight robbery. But Brian has used his time in jail to make amends to his family and get clean. When Paulie comes to him for help, Brian must face the biggest challenge to his code of honor that he could ever imagine: stand by his friend or salvage his family he cannot do both!

“WE HAVEN’T TALKED MUCH”
