What Do You Think?

UUUUH!
I LOVE IT ALREADY!
I guess Michael Bay with its Transformers made it possible for others to use the same kind of CGI to create Robot…
A bit like everybody copying The Matrix back at the beginning of the 2000s…
And Christian Bale is just so on the edge right now.
I saw how talented he was in smaller but great movies like THE MACHINIST, 3:10 to Yuma and I’m Not There and now he IS the BATMAN and Connor in TERMINATOR, looot bigger franchising.
I really like these kind of versatile actors.
Good observation,
the machines do look like Transformers robots for some reason.
they say imitation is the best form of flattery but if it reminds us too much of another different movie, it might throw us off from enjoying TERMINATOR SALVATION, don’t you agree?
By the way, Christian Bale is a talented, badass actor,.. but I don’t hink he’s versatile.
He once said in a magazine interview that he would never do Romantic Comedy.
I tend to see someone versatile as someone who can do many roles in various genres,… so I don’t consider him to be versatile..
Every time I see the robots from this film I instantly think of Transformers… which was easily one of the worst films of 2007. I’m hoping, however, that this isn’t the case here. But the director from the Charlie’s Angels flicks isn’t too promising. I’ve got hope though… Helena Bonham Carter’s apparently playing a villain in it, so I’m obligated by contract to see it.
Agreed on the Christian Bale sentiment. I love the man… to death… but he’s not versatile. He plays that brooding, intense and steely figure well every time he does it, but I’d like to see him do something domestic. Perhaps a drama. One of his best performances was as a kid in Empire of the Sun… probably his best performance.
Yup,. Empire of The Sun, now that was a great epic movie!
The studio’s decision to hire McG for this project did come across as risky due to his previous unsatisfactory record (We are Marshall, Charlie’s Angels movies)
I think they’re mainly counting on the mythology, the visual effects, and the Terminator fanbase and not so much on his directing skills..
And as far as Helena Bonham Carter is concerned,.. mankind can put confidence in that woman, she has never let me down.
TRANSFORMERS did have a stupid-ass storyline, but you gotta admit, it did have some sweet action though
Yeah, I think that McG will do a good job with it though. He seems really interested in the project, which is usually a positive sign. I think his familiarity with action is what got him the job, though there are many who could qualify. You’re right though, it’s the brand that’s going to get people in the seats… including me, hahaha. Wait, no, just Helena.
I’ve got the biggest issue with Transformers. I was expecting nothing when I went in… surprisingly I got less than that. Sweet action only applies to two instances in the film. The excellently staged and executed attack by Blackout. The sound design during that scene was top notch. The next was Scorponok. Two visceral and exciting scenes that didn’t bore me to death like the others.
I can’t remember if this is a dream or not, but did a Transformer pee on a man?
Hahaha! I remember now, that one Transformer, I think it was bumblebee, it peed on a man didn’t it?!
Man, that whole scene was ridiculous.
who knows what kind of crap they’ll pull in the second movie which comes out next year.
