ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Movie Story Is..
It’s “Valkyrie Meets Hotel for Dogs” Ha! That’s what the show’s creator Mitchell Hurwitz said, via buzzsugar.com. Of course, it’s the funniest joke or the biggest disappointment.. depends on how you wanna see it. As a big fan, I was expecting him to reveal the plot for reals. Why does he have to keep pulling our leg, man!
But I’m sure the time will come soon enough, considering the fact that they already have a deal more or less in place from Fox Searchlight, and are in the process of getting all the actors on board. Last I heard Michael Cera was the one still feeling half-heartedly about joining the project. He’s probably too busy being a movie star for Judd Apatow gang.
Whatever the story may be, I just hope ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Movie would pick up wherever the series left off because then the studio could re-release or debut new collector’s edition DVD of the show a month before the movie gets released in theaters. The sales would hit the roof. And then, after what I hope to be a box office success of the movie, Fox will re-consider bringing new episodes of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT back on TV again with the same cast ensemble, just like how the DVD success resurrected Family Guy.
A man can only hope.
