PINEAPPLE EXPRESS New Trailer
This the new trailer for PINEAPPLE EXPRESS that features Amber Heard as Seth Rogen’s girlfriend. I’ve seen the movie. You can read my review HERE. The part where James Franco tries to kick the cop car’s front window out is still funny no matter how many times I’ve seen it in clips or trailers that this movie has released. Don’t forget to check out the high posters and the redband trailer for those of us who like to play with ‘fire’.
Dale Denton (Rogen) finds his job tedious. The only to get some excitement is by smoking weed and whenever he needs supply, he can come to his most reliable dealer, Saul Silver (Franco). There’s a new stuff in the market called Pineapple Express, it’s like no other. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city’s most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express. The weed happens to be so rare that it can be traced back to his dealer, Saul. And so they run for their lives.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS hits theaters August 8th, 2008
No commentsOfficial TWILIGHT Images and Trailer #2
Not too long ago, I posted the second trailer for TWILIGHT that hit the web. Now, Summit Entertainment has sent me the official trailer and some cool official images too. That’d be something if Buffy suddenly shows up and helps them fight the bad vampires team
TWILIGHT is an action-packed, modern day love story between a vampire and a human. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother remarries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn’t expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she’s ever met. Intelligent and witty, he sees straight into her soul. Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance.
Edward can run faster than a mountain lion, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands – and he hasn’t aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he’s immortal. But he doesn’t have fangs, and he doesn’t drink human blood; Edward and his family are unique among vampires in their lifestyle choice. To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for – a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi) and Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre), the Cullens’ mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for her?

No commentsTHE DUCHESS Theatrical Trailer
The previous trailer had the main character compared to Princess Diana and how they both were similar in many ways. But would the movie take a daring turn and have The Duchess of Devonshire die in a freeway tunnel in France? That would be the day. Via Yahoo, here’s the theatrical trailer for THE DUCHESS, starring Keira Knightley in yet another period piece.
SYNOPSIS:
Long before the concept existed, the Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana Spencer (Keira Knightley), was the original “It Girl.” Like her direct ancestor Princess Diana, she was ravishing, glamorous and adored by an entire country. Determined to be a player in the wider affairs of the world, she proved that she could out-gamble, out-drink and outwit most of the aristocratic men who surrounded her. She helped usher in sweeping changes to England as a leader of the forward-thinking Whig Party. But even as her power and popularity grew, she was haunted by the fact that the only man in England she seemingly could not seduce was her very own husband, the Duke (Ralph Fiennes). And when she tried to find her own way to be true to her heart and loyal to her duty, the resulting controversies and convoluted liaisons would leave all of London talking.
“The Duchess” is the story of an extraordinary woman who rose to fame by staying true to her passions in a world of protocol, gossip and social rules – and paid the price.
THE DUCHESS opens September 19th, 2008
No comments‘F-Bombs’ STEP BROTHERS Red Band Clip
Via funnyordie, here a new clip from the movie STEP BROTHERS, which opens this weekend, July 25th, 2008. I don’t mind F-Bombs, some comedy works with F this and F that every other word but I just don’t find this one particularly funny. Do you? But hell, I’m probably gonna still find myself laughing when I watch the whole thing.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who last teamed in the box-office smash Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, now star in Step Brothers, directed by Adam McKay (Talladega Nights). In Step Brothers, Ferrell plays Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old who lives with his mother, Nancy (Mary Steenburgen). Reilly plays Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old who lives with his father, Robert (Richard Jenkins). When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.
The screenplay is by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay from a story by Will Ferrell & Adam McKay & John C. Reilly. Jimmy Miller and Judd Apatow produce.
No commentsSURFER, DUDE Trailer
Here’s the trailer for Matthew McConaughey new movie SURFER, DUDE which probably doesn’t require him to do much acting because who he is has already prep him for the role. (by the way, check out the hilarious spoof on Matthew McConaughey)
If you look carefully, in all his movies, he’ll always have that same look on his face whenever he’s confused or just got an idea.
This seems like yet another stoner’s movie. Totally awesome, dude!
But having done so many romantic comedy and now this, does Matthew McConaughey take acting seriously or he just likes to goof around too much and make movies that don’t matter?
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
Longboarding soul-surfer Steve Addington (Matthew McConaughey) returns to Malibu for the summer to find his cool hometown vibe corrupted. New sponsorship demands Addington to expand into Virtual Reality Video Games and Reality TV. Unwilling to participate in this new digital-reality, he chooses to spend his summer surfing his home break. But in a twist-of-fate, the waves go flat and stay flat. Out of money, his expense-accounts canceled, and betrayed by his buddies, Addington is backed into a harsh corner. He must endure the insanity that comes with no waves or give into “the Man” and his new, reality-altering machines.
Aided by his manager (Woody Harrelson), his mentor (Scott Glenn), his guardian-angel (Willie Nelson) and his summer lover (Alexie Gilmore), Addington has a chance of keeping his cool, but it’s not going to be easy. The dude needs a wave, and there’s never been a drought like this.
SURFER, DUDE opens September 2008

Here’s the official 2nd Trailer for TWILIGHT, which based on the best selling vampire romance novel by author Stephanie Meyer.
I’m not fully sold yet. The bad guys don’t look mean enough. Some of the villains that show up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer series gave out a more evil, villainous presence. I guess I still don’t understand the fascination, or what it is that made the novel so popular.
Judging from this trailer, what do you think?

No commentsHARRY POTTER 6 Teaser
This is the teaser for HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE that was attached to The Dark Knight IMAX.
It’s very brief but I’m sure if you’re a big fan Harry Potter franchise fan, this is more than enough to get you so excited you might just wet your pants.
By the way, The Dark Knight is a must see.. do not go through 2008 without watching it. Trust me.
WATCHMEN Trailer hits the web
Along with Terminator Salvation, The trailer for WATCHMEN will also be attached to THE DARK KNIGHT and someone has leaked it online. It was originally available at empireonline.com. The clip is quite lengthy and it reveals a lot. What do you think about this one?

2 commentsBODY OF LIES Int’l Trailer
The International Trailer for BODY OF LIES has hit the web and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be exactly like the book that it’s based on. I’ve read the book by author David Ignatius and this trailer makes the movie seem more action-packed. But that’s okay, as long as it does what a thriller movie’s supposed to do.
I thought Philip Seymour Hoffman would’ve been more suitable to play the character Ed Hoffman instead of Russell Crowe.
Directed by: Ridley Scott (Gladiator). Adapted screenplay by William Monahan (The Departed)
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ridley Scott’s go-to guy, Russell Crowe.
Based on Washington Post columnist David Ignatius’ 2007 novel about a CIA operative, Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio), who uncovers a lead on a major terrorist leader suspected to be operating out of Jordan. When Ferris devises a plan to infiltrate his network, he must first win the backing of cunning CIA veteran Ed Hoffman (Russell Crowe) and the collegial, but perhaps suspect, head of Jordanian intelligence. Although ostensibly his allies, Ferris questions how far he can really trust these men without putting his entire operation - and his life - on the line
BODY OF LIES opens October 10th, 2008
No commentsBrian Cox loves his Dog
If you wanna make Veteran actor Brian Cox angry, then hurting his dog would be one definite way They say a dog is a man’s best friend, could it be a good enough reason to go on a gun rampage? I’m sure the movie’s more than just about that.
Taking the law into your hand ain’t nothing new, but over a dog might be something interesting. Especially when the bad guy is Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan, Natural Born Killers) who’s good at playing somebody you’d wanna hate.
Here’s the trailer for RED which premiered back at Sundance this year and it will get limited theatrical release sometimes later this summer.
SYNOPSIS:
Avery Allan Ludlow (Brian Cox), a Korean War vet with a tragic past, lives alone in a small town, where he runs the local hardware store. Av’s only companion is a 14 year-old ginger-haired dog, aptly named Red by Av’s late wife. One day, Av and Red are enjoying a placid outing at their favorite fishing spot when three boys and a shotgun come along. In an instant, Av’s lifelong friend is gone, the victim of a cruel, senseless act. Devastated, Av determines to find out who the boys are and why they did it. Helped by a local reporter (Dickens), Av tries to expose the truth, but his efforts are ignored by authorities and mocked by the teenagers. The boys’ parents, a rich local businessman (Sizemore) and, across town, a hardscrabble laborer (Englund) and his wife (Plummer), are just as determined to keep Av down. But, faithful to the memory of his best friend, Av single-mindedly presses for justice-with or without the law on his side.
No commentsFLASH OF GENIUS Trailer
I like inspiring movies, especially about underdogs taking on gigantic foes. This is the trailer for FLASH OF GENIUS starring Greg Kinnear as the windshield wiper guy. It’s creepy how the trailer starts with the voice over dude who does narration for horror movie trailers.
SYNOPSIS:
Based on the true story of college professor and part-time inventor Robert Kearns’ long battle with the U.S. automobile industry, a tale of one man whose fight to receive recognition for his ingenuity would come at a heavy price. But this determined engineer refused to be silenced, and he took on the corporate titans in a battle that nobody thought he could win.
The Kearns were a typical 1960s Detroit family, trying to live their version of the American Dream. Local university professor Bob married teacher Phyllis and, by their mid-thirties, had six kids who brought them a hectic but satisfying Midwestern existence. When Bob invents a device that would eventually be used by every car in the world, the Kearns think they have struck gold. But their aspirations are dashed after the auto giants who embraced Bob’s creation unceremoniously shunned the man who invented it.
Ignored, threatened and then buried in years of litigation, Bob is haunted by what was done to his family and their future. He becomes a man obsessed with justice and the conviction that his life’s work — or for that matter, anyone’s work — be acknowledged by those who stood to benefit. And while paying the toll for refusing to compromise his dignity, this everyday David will try the unthinkable: to bring Goliath to his knees.
FLASH OF GENIUS opens October 17th, 2008
No commentsTERMINATOR SALVATION Teaser
The trailer for TERMINATOR SALVATION will be attached to the new Batman movie THE DARK KNIGHT this weekend but someone has leaked it online and I have it here just for you.
Looks like it could definitely raise curiosity. Christian Bale is visible and so is a glimpse of T-1000. And the music sounds similar.
What do you think?
Plot:
Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Bale) is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
TERMINATOR SALVATION opens May 22nd, 2009
1 commentOUTLANDER: New Trailer
The new trailer for OUTLANDER has hit the web and it’s a bit different than the first trailer we saw recently. This one has narration and get to see a slightly better glimpse of the monster. I don’t get the line at the end that says TEMP BILLING BLOCK.
Any of you know what that means?
Vikings and Alien human Vs. Alien monster. This movie will make Pathfinder look like a B-movie.
Starring Jim Caviezel, this movie will open later this year
THE SPIRIT New Trailer
The new trailer for THE SPIRIT apparently hit the web, I didn’t know about this until this very second. Someone must’ve leaked it online, which means it probably won’t be around for too long.
When compared to the first teaser, this new trailer seems a bit odd. Maybe it’s Frank Miller’s style but my reaction to the whole thing with the character falls out of a giant woman’s lips was ‘What the H?!’
The women in this movie are amazing though….
however, the character THE SPIRIT doesn’t give that Playa vibe.
Correct me if I’m wrong but it seems like the villain Octopus, played by Samuel L. Jackson and the line that he said to the hero “We’re two of a kind”, seems to be taking a similar direction as THE DARK KNIGHT, by showing us that the villain and the hero are not far different and that, like it or not, one’s existence depends on the other’s.
THE SPIRIT opens Christmas 2008
No commentsFLY ME TO THE MOON 3-D In Theaters August 8th, 2008
When I saw this trailer for this movie that was attached to Journey To the Center of the Earth 3-D. I thought it was one of the coolest things mine eyes have ever seen! The 3-D action is way cool! Even the flies look humongous!
Summit Entertainment presents
“FLY ME TO THE MOON” in theatres August 8th
Running Time: 90 minutes
Starring the voice talents of: Kelly Ripa, Nicolette Sheridan, Christopher Lloyd, Ed Begley, Jr., Tim Curry, Trevor Gagnon, Philip Daniel Bolden, David Gore, Adrienne Barbeau, Robert Patrick and Buzz Aldrin, as himself
Directed by: Ben Stassen
FLY ME TO THE MOON is the first animated film shot in 3-D for 3-D
SYNOPSIS:
In this groundbreaking 3-D animated adventure, three young flies set off on a courageous mission to become the first insects on the moon by hitching a ride on the historic Apollo 11 space flight. Based on the actual transcripts and the original blueprints from NASA, the film’s stunning visuals and meticulous attention to detail introduce a whole new generation to the awe-inspiring achievements of the space program’s most momentous mission.

The year is 1969 and like everyone else in the world, Nat (Trevor Gagnon) and his pals IQ (Philip Daniel Bolden) and Scooter (David Gore) are abuzz over the upcoming launch of the first manned mission to the moon. Inspired by his Grandpa’s (Christopher Lloyd) oft-told tale of hiding aboard Amelia Earhart’s plane during her famed solo cross-Atlantic flight, Nat hatches a secret plan for the three young flies to stow away on the Apollo 11 rocket. The hard part is keeping the plan secret from his mom, Mrs. McFly (Kelly Ripa)!

When a N.A.S.A. Ground Control official catches sight of the three winged stowaways, he instructs the astronauts to store them in a test tube for later study. But after an electrical short causes the ship’s engine to malfunction, the three intrepid insects manage to escape from their glass mini-brig just in time to discover the wiring problem and fix it. After a difficult lunar landing, Nat tags along with Neil Armstrong on his legendary moon walk. Although the flies face a few more close calls, the mission appears to be a success. At least until Grandpa’s old flame Nadia (Nicolette Sheridan) arrives from Russia to warn him that her government, angry over losing the space race, has dispatched fly-spy Yegor (Tim Curry) to Cape Canaveral to sabotage the computer flight plans. With the Apollo hurtling toward Earth, it falls to Nat’s family to save the mission—and the trio of brave flies—from disaster.

GHOST TOWN Trailer
The trailer for Ricky Gervais‘ new comedy movie GHOST TOWN has hit the web and it’s kinda funny. I say ‘kinda’ because it’s not one of those trailer that will make you laugh out loud.
Maybe that’s a good thing, maybe they’re hiding the good stuff, the real funny deal for us to see in the theater, which is hopefully the case.
It seems like it’s going to be one of those movies where the characters are rude and bitter like Mr. Scrooge and then ends up being the friendliest guy in the neighborhood.
You be the judge… what do you think about this one?
SYNOPSIS:
Bertram Pincus (Ricky Gervais), is a man whose people skills leave much to be desired. When Pincus dies unexpectedly, but is miraculously revived after seven minutes, he wakes up to discover that he now has the annoying ability to see ghosts. Even worse, they all want something from him, particularly Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear) who pesters him into breaking up the impending marriage of his widow Gwen (Téa Leoni). That puts Pincus squarely in the middle of a triangle with spirited result
GHOST TOWN opens August 19th, 2008

No commentsBANGKOK DANGEROUS 2nd Clip
We’ve seen the first violent clip and now Thanks to Lionsgate, here’s a new clip from the new thriller remake BANGKOK DANGEROUS starring Nicolas Cage.
I’ve seen the original Thai movie and it has a clip that involves a room full of water jugs too… although the storyline was way different than this version. The main character was deaf and mute.. I doubt Nicolas Cage’s character will also be like that.
OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS:
The life of an anonymous assassin takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Thailand to complete a series of contract killings. Joe (Nicolas Cage), a remorseless hitman, is in Bangkok to execute four enemies of a ruthless crime boss named Surat. He hires Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm), a street punk and pickpocket, to run errands for him with the intention of covering his tracks by killing him at the end of the assignment. Strangely, Joe, the ultimate lone wolf, instead finds himself mentoring the young man while simultaneously being drawn into a tentative romance with a local shop girl. As he falls further under the sway of Bangkok’s intoxicating beauty, Joe begins to question his isolated existence and let down his guard …just as Surat decides it’s time to clean house.
Directors Oxide Pang and Danny Pang (The Eye) paint an explosive picture of the Bangkok underworld, illuminated with neon and saturated in violence. Based on the Pang Brothers’ wildly popular Hong Kong action film of the same name BANGKOK DANGEROUS is written by Jason Richman. The adrenaline-powered thriller stars Nicolas Cage (Leaving Las Vegas, National Treasure), Charlie Young (Seven Swords), Shahkrit Yamnarm (Belly of the Beast) and Dom Hetrakul (Sniper 3). The film is produced by Jason Shuman, William Sherak, Nicolas Cage and Norm Golightly. Andrew Pfeffer, Derek Dauchy, Denis O’Sullivan and Ben Waisbren serve as the executive producers.
BANGKOK DANGEROUS will be in theaters September 5th
No commentsFELON marks Batman Vs. Batman
Guess who’s going to go up against Batman when THE DARK KNIGHT hits theaters this coming weekend? I’m not talking about Mamma Mia!
Believe it or not, it’s going to be Batman against Batman.
Val Kilmer has a new low-budget prison drama that’s going to be open limited in NY and LA on July 18th, 2008.
Poor Val Kilmer, his better days are behind him. He should’ve gotten nominated for his role in Tombstone and I think his last decent movie was Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and not many people even saw that.
This new movie FELON, written by Ric Roman Waugh is about a loving family man with a promising future loses everything when he accidentally kills the burglar who broke into his home. Convicted of involuntary manslaughter, he is sentence to spend the next three years inside a maximum security facility where the rules of society no longer apply.
